Why Christianity?

Are All Religions the Same?
Most people believe that all religions are essentially the same and only superficially different. In reality, the are essentially different and only superficially the same.

Of all the religions of the world, only Judaism and Islam agree with Christianity that there is one God rather than many. Indeed, if there is a God, identifying who He is and the nature of His being is no insignificant point. To worship any other than the true God is called idolatry and is strictly forbidden by God.

Additionally, every religion seeks to teach people how God expects them to live and what to do when they fail to meet those requirements. It is here that there is a fundamental difference between Christianity and every other religion. While every other religion tells you what you must do to remedy your falling short of God's standards,Christianity tells us what God did for us when we fell short.

The focus of salvation in the Christian faith is not that we make a sacrifice or keep certain rules to reach God, but that we understand, appreciate and trust in Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a sacrifice for us when He died on the cross in our place -- as our substitute.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him might never perish, but have everlasting lifeî (John 3:16).

I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. Jesus Christ (John 14:6)
